What is an order form? ▼
An order form (also called a purchase order, indent or requisition) is the list a shop or business sends its supplier or dealer stating the items — or parts — and quantities it wants to buy. It's the everyday document behind restocking and replenishment orders placed with a distributor.
How is this different from a Purchase Order? ▼
An order form is a lighter, quantity-focused list that often carries no prices — the dealer prices it at their end. A formal Purchase Order usually includes rates, tax/GST and totals. Use this for quick day-to-day ordering; use the Purchase Order tool when you need a fully priced, tax document.
Do I have to add prices? ▼
No. Prices are off by default — just list the items and how many you need. If you do want to show them, turn on Include rates to add a rate and amount per line plus a total value.
Can I add part numbers or item codes? ▼
Yes. Each line has a Code / SKU field — handy for spare parts, catalogue numbers or your supplier's item codes so there's no confusion about what you're ordering.
Is my data private? ▼
